Barron Collier junior has sights set on Olympic Trials
Even though the 17-year-old is swimming for a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Laur isn’t thinking that far ahead, just yet.
NAPLES, Fla. - Mason Laur couldn’t believe it.
Laur's T2 Aquatics coach, Eric Nelson, couldn't believe it, either.
"I was definitely excited. I gave myself a little fist bump," Laur said.
“It was one of the most exciting moments I’ve been a part of as a coach," Nelson said.
Over the summer, Laur competed in the USA Swimming junior national championships in California.
Competing in the 200-meter butterfly, Laur didn't just place but won the event.
Laur's T2 Aquatics coach, Eric Nelson, couldn't believe it, either.
