Congrats to all T2 Aquatics athletes who competed at the 2016 FHSAA 3A State Cha

Congrats to all T2 Aquatics athletes who competed at the 2016 FHSAA 3A State Championships on Friday!

Special Congrats to Bean Faunce & Matt Limbacher for bringing home State Championships in the 200 IM & 100 Fly (Bean) and 100 Breast (Matt)!  We had quite a few double A finalists, which also deserve mention: Bean Faunce, Jack Scanlon, Wyatt Kellett, Davis Olmsted, Cole Gutknecht.

Congrats as well to the following athletes achieving All-America Time Standards at the FHSAA 3A State meet:

  • Bean Faunce – Automatic All America Time Standards in the 200 IM & 100 Fly
  • Jack Scanlon – Automatic All America Time Standard in the 500 Free
  • Matt Limbacher – Automatic All America Time Standard in the 100 Breast
  • Kayla Tennant – Consideration for All America Time Standard in the 100 Fly
  • Wyatt Kellett – Consideration for All America Time Standard in the 200 IM & 100 Breast.

Congrats as well to the above athletes, who each re-qualify for their USA Swimming Scholastic All-American status for 2016-2017.

Each athlete who qualified for an individual event at 3A States had to swim well enough 9 days ago at their 3A Regional meet to make it into the Top 24 for the entire 3A State Class.  Relay team members had to qualify in the same way, with their HS Teammates at the Region meet (some relays do change slightly from week to week, but in the case of T2 athletes, our relay team members tended to be on their qualifying relay teams at Regions).  So, to get to States takes some great racing and in our team’s case that great racing was on display last weekend.

The weekend’s State Meet results (Individual events):
