T2 Aquatics Evaluations!
T2 Aquatics features a competitive age group swim team that offers swimmers ages 6 and older in Southwest Florida an opportunity to excel in the sport of swimming and are accepting new swimmers into our program in August!
Practice opportunities range from 3 days a week for our youngest swimmers to 6 days a week for our highest level athletes. Swimmers are placed in appropriate groups based on age and ability and are brought through our program with appropriate amounts of practice.
Look around www.t2aquatics.com for more information about our team. Swimmers 9 and older must be able to swim all 4 of the competitive strokes. Swimmers 8 and younger must be able to swim 25 yards of strong Freestyle, knowing how to breathe to the side as well as Backstroke. Most swimmers who join T2 come from a Paradise Coast Swim Conference team or a lesson/clinic program that focuses on the racing strokes and fundamentals of competitive swimming.
If you are interested in a local program that will help prepare you for the T2 Aquatics team please visit the Naples Swim School at www.nssymca.org. They have small group classes for swimmers ages 4 months and older as well as private instruction.
There will be two evaluations in August for athletes who are 6-14 years old. (If you are entering High School, please email Tom Yetter at [email protected] to set up another time to come for an evaluation.) These evaluations will be held at the Norris Pool on the campus of the Community School of Naples. Swimmers are asked to attend one of the days. No registration is needed!
- Wednesday August 5th 9:00-11:00 AM
- Wednesday August 12th 8:00-10:00 AM
There will be a short parent meeting, followed by an evaluation in the water, followed by another short parent meeting. After the evaluation will be able to recommend a program that fits each athlete and will help them progress in the sport of competitive swimming!
